Air Quality Monitor on Hexham Road
Fri 13 Sep 2019Last summer we received a grant from the NCC Healthy Pupil Capital Fund for an air quality monitor and it has now been installed on one of the lamp posts across from our school gates. We will start to receive data from the monitor soon and the children will be able to use it in their science and PSHE lessons. Changes in air pollution at different times of day will help us to measure the effects of our walk to school programme and will show the children the difference they can make to the air quality in Throckley when they choose to walk or cycle to school. -
Our Wonderful Learners
Fri 06 Sep 2019Following on from our successful LORIC – Skills for Life focus, we have been working on how we can develop skills that will support our children in their school life and beyond. Our school staff has worked with a learning consultant to develop OWL (Our Wonderful Learners). This is a set of strategies that children can draw upon in different learning situations, with prompts and resources to support them in being successful. Keep an eye on Parent App where you will be notified of your child’s OWL achievement stars!
