Last summer we received a grant from the NCC Healthy Pupil Capital Fund for an air quality monitor and it has now been installed on one of the lamp posts across from our school gates. We will start to receive data from the monitor soon and the children will be able to use it in their science and PSHE lessons. Changes in air pollution at different times of day will help us to measure the effects of our walk to school programme and will show the children the difference they can make to the air quality in Throckley when they choose to walk or cycle to school.
