Are you caring, hard-working and passionate about making a difference to young people? Would you like to work with a dynamic team which transforms the lives of the pupils in this successful and forward-thinking school?
Throckley Primary is a larger than average primary school based in the Outer West of Newcastle. The school was graded outstanding in all areas in our November 2013 Ofsted report and is currently one of the highest performing schools in the country. We are ranked the 331st primary school in the country (out of over 16,000) in the 2023 'Sunday Times Parent Power Guide'. This ranking puts us in the top 2% of primary schools nationwide. This wonderful achievement is the result of a continuous drive for improvement, where the whole school community strives to deliver the best quality of education and transform the lives of our pupils.

In January 2024, we are due to convert to academy status; together with seven schools in the Outer West of Newcastle, we will form ONE (Owl North East) Trust Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join this collaborative and forward-thinking group of schools as they aim to continue to improve the lives and educational outcomes of children across the Outer West. Please also note that this post is subject to a six month probationary period.
This school is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
