Show Racism the Red Card
Our children here at Throckley Primary School showed racism the RED CARD! They explored ideas around racism in football, and they designed their own red bands which included positive messages of love, kindness and respect!
International Women's Day
Children across school celebrated many different famous women as part of International Women's Day. They discussed the struggles that women have faced in the past, and why it is so important to treat women with equality and respect!
LGBTQ+ History Month
It was brilliant to see our children celebrate and embrace differences during LGBTQ+ History Month. The children were able to discuss why it is important to treat all individuals with care and respect, and why we should all feel proud of our own identity.
School Diversity Week
We were thrilled to celebrate School Diversity Week and use this opportunity to discuss and acknowledge the different members of our society. We are so proud to be a part of a diverse community here at Throckley, and we will continue to celebrate this each day!
