Over the course of this year, we have had a huge focus on LORIC in school. This programme helps us to support children in developing essential life skills that will help them both in and out of school for many years to come. Through LORIC, we have focused on the key skills of organisation; resilience; communication; and initiative. The final piece of our LORIC jigsaw is to focus on leadership skills, so we would  like to introduce Laura Leadership!  We have purposefully left Laura until last and this is because all of the other skills we've learned about are essential to being a good leader! This half term, children across school will be exploring what it means to be an effective leader and will be given opportunities to develop this skill across the curriculum. Watch out for stickers and achievement points celebrating leadership and don't forget to ask your child about what it means to be a good leader and how we can all take on different types of leadership roles effectively!
