Learning Yoga in Year 1
In PE this half term class 1B have been looking after their physical and emotional health. They have been using the fundamental skills of balance, agility and co-ordination to learn yoga poses and flows: tree, mountain, half-moon and volcano. The children are also learning breathing techniques which help to increase energy and decrease anxiety. In addition the children are learning to recognise and honour all emotions and to use their new movements and breathing skills to support their mental well-being.
