Congratulations to Mr Kidger
Message from Mrs Stuart:
After working at Throckley Primary School for 14 years and as my Deputy Head Teacher for over 5 years, I am immensely proud but also very sad to say that Darren Kidger will be leaving Throckley for an 18th month secondment from 31st December this year. His new role will be as an advisor for the School Effectiveness Team at Newcastle City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for him as he will be working with primary and secondary schools across the whole of the city to support the development of mathematics teaching and learning.
During his time away, Lynsey Giblin and Julia Brown will act up as Deputy Head Teachers with Ellie Sewell as acting Assistant Head Teacher until his return in September 2021.
I feel very fortunate and privileged to have worked with such a fantastic teacher and leader as well as such a trustworthy and kind man. Darren is an integral part of the ongoing success of the school and although he will be such a huge miss, his mentoring and coaching means that he has paved the way for other leaders to follow in his footsteps.
Mr Kidger will remain as an associate member to the school's governing body during his secondment so luckily he will never be too far away! On behalf of all the staff, governors, parents and pupils, I would like to say THANK YOU Mr Kidger and GOOD LUCK. We will all miss you dearly!
