On Thursday, Year 6 were transported back to 1939, when World War Two began, to spend a day in the life of an evacuee. During the day, children got to: write a postcard home; shelter from terrifying air raids; listen to the wireless and Chamberlain's speech; protect the school by putting up black outs; recreate propaganda posters for the War Office; and play traditional games from the war.
