We had a magical day in school on Thursday for World Book Day! The day began with a whole school assembly where the children loved listening to ‘The Word Collector’ by Peter H. Reynolds. The children then spent time being word collectors themselves. Our corridors in school were adorned with pupils’ favourite words and they looked spectacular! Children wrote amazing poems and shared with each other some wonderful work! We all enjoyed the reading tent again this year, where our younger and older children read their favourite stories together. What a treat! Finally, the day was topped off with surprise stories. Lots of staff members popped up in unusual places for a spot of spontaneous storytelling with children. A fantastic day was had by all. Thank you once again for your support with costumes and ideas.
