Reading is so important to us at Throckley Primary School; it is the key to success both in school and beyond! Children collect raffle tickets each time they read at home. Class raffle boxes are taken to the achievement assembly where one ticket is picked at random from each class. The half term's reading raffle was extra special! Winners picked a token from the special Reading Treasure Chest. Prizes included storybooks; non-fiction books; and Smiggle stationary. And there's more! One special Golden Ticket winner won the amazing prize of a Bedtime Story Box which had a snuggly blanket, hot chocolate, cookies and a book inside! What a treat! Don't forget - you've got to be in it to win it! Please read with your child at home as much as possible; who knows, they could be the next Bedtime Stories winner!
