Catherine McKinnell, the MP for Newcastle North, visited our school today in order to congratulate our children, staff, Governors and families on our excellent results.  She and Mrs Stuart also discussed the current pressures on school funding and the developments in the Throckley Community.  During the tour the children were given the opportunity to tell their MP about their hopes for the future of Newcastle and to ask her about what it is like to work in Parliament.  Ms McKinnell and Mrs Stuart were so impressed with the ideas that the children gave to her and the questions that they asked.
