Year 5 at Centre for Life
Year 5 visited the Centre for Life to take part in a number of hands-on, exciting activities all about Earth and Space. To help with their current science topic, children experienced an hour in the fascinating planetarium where they were solar system explorers and learnt lots about stars, planets and the International Space Station. As well as this, Year 5 had the chance to look around the current exhibition in the centre, which is ‘Space zone’. In the Making Studio, the children made rockets that they aimed and shot at targets. At the destination space theatre show, they learnt all about satellites. What an amazing trip full of an abundance of knowledge that we can use in our future science lessons!
