This half-term, Year 5 have become Antarctic explorers as they learn all about the continent in their geography lessons. This has been especially exciting as Miss Richardson’s brother, Connor, is currently travelling to Antarctica as part of his job with the British Antarctic Survey (BAS).  Because of this, Year 5 have been given exclusive access to videos, photos and lots of information about what makes a successful expedition. BAS have also asked Year 5 to create flags for Antarctica as part of a national competition. The winner will have a photo taken of their flag in Antarctica with the BAS team!
