Throckley Primary has been chosen to be part of an exciting national challenge to encourage more children and their families to walk to school.  WOW is delivered by Living Streets, a UK charity which wants to get as many children as possible experiencing the benefits of walking to school.  WOW rewards children who walk to school at least once a week with a special monthly badge.  The school will also be providing fun incentives and prizes to help make the challenge of walking to school more exciting!   If you live too far to walk the entire way to school, your child can still participate by using the Park & Stride service at Sainsburys.  Riding your bike or scooter also counts as walking to school.

We will be sending home more information about this new programme in the near future and we hope that many of our families will discover the following benefits when they walk to school:
