Year 6 - Science.

In science, Year 6 have been focussing on improving their Science Capital. To do this, we began by looking at what we thought a scientist looked like. We then thought about where science exists in the real world by appraising the national curriculum and writing questions which could be displayed around school to challenge our peers. Linking with our theme of transport, we then acted in role as recruiters for “FueLite”. We were given four faces and had to match them to four roles without any knowledge of their experience or qualifications. After this, we opened their envelopes and rearranged based on what they were best suited to do. We finished the week by thinking again about what we think a scientist looks like: check out how much we have tackled the stereotype of a ‘scientist’
