Year 5 Air Resistance 28.01.19.

This week, in science, year 5 investigated the effects of air resistance.  The children hypothesised what they thought would happen before being split into 4 groups and making 4 different parachutes, all with a different surface area. The children tested their parachutes and the effect air resistance had on them by timing how long it took for them to hit the ground. They later displayed their information in a bar chart and drew conclusions that the bigger the surface area, the longer it took to fall because more air resistance is acting upon it.
