Singing Happy.

6B made a great start to the term as they were introduced to a new song to appraise, practise and perform. They listened to Happy by Pharell Willliams and considered the age of the piece, the instrumentation, the tempo and the story behind the music. Next, they studied the rhythm of the song by finding the pulse in any way they liked; moreover, they experimented with tempo by copying the actions of cartoon avatars. Finally, they enjoyed some healthy competition by deciding which half of the class could best sing the counter-melody and which the lead-vocal. You decide!
