Remembrance Day

10th November 2017

Children across the school, from Acorns to Y6, participated in Remembrance Day activities this week.  The younger children watched the BBC Children’s Remembrance Film called ‘Poppies’ (available on BBC iPlayer) and made poppy displays for their classrooms while the older children created artwork and writing which were inspired by John MCrae’s poem, ’In Flander’s Fields’.  Several of the classes held their own two minutes of silence in order to reflect on this important day.  We did not receive our usual fund raising pack this year and we are sorry that we did not have poppies available.  We will ensure that we have them available next year.
