Greek Day in Year 5G.

Today, we enjoyed learning more about our topic of 'Ancient Greece'. Visitors from Durham University allowed us to look at their Ancient Greek handling collection. It was a combination of real and replica objects. We became archaeologists and record our findings, whilst trying to work out what the objects were and what they were used for. At the end, all was revealed and we learnt some interesting facts! We then created our own votive offerings from clay and produced our own campaign that would be used in a Greek democracy. We had to use the Greek alphabet to write our campaigns. Our final task was to perform a Greek play using costumes and masks. Overall, a fun-filled with lots of new learning gained!
