In Science, as part of our new forces topic this half term, year 5 investigated the effects of gravity on unsupported objects. We learnt that weight is measured in Newtons using a piece of equipment called a Newton Metre and can change depending on how much gravitational pull there is. Children can dictate that mass is measured in g/kg using weighing scales and will always stay the same. Children used the appropriate equipment to test 6 different objects and made recordings of their weight and mass. Children recognised that in every Newton there is 100g. Well done, year 5!
