Christmas Carolin'

In our class novel, Goodnight Mister Tom, Miss Thorne is directing A Christmas Carol. In order for the performance to be the best one yet, she has asked for our help to re-create this traditional tale through our own interpretations of the story. To warm up our acting abilities, we played charades; our friends had to infer what emotion they could see. This supported us later on when we had to order the illustrations and identify key emotions in each one. Once we’d put our own twist on the tale, we started writing one scene from it- ensuring we used lots of figurative language. Watch out Charles Dickens!
