History Progression Documents
Progression documents for each year group ensure that the knowledge and skills being taught in History are being consolidated and extended, year on year, and that there clear progression as children move through the school. Learning across school is linked through an interconnecting narrative: the study of key concepts and significant people provides context to the acquisition of new knowledge. Class Teachers are skilled in linking new learning and skills to what has been developed previously, ensuring that learning in History, and across the curriculum, builds on and extends existing knowledge and understanding.
