Year 5 - Stem - Engineering and Maths Investigation.

 Engineering and Mathematics

We applied our maths skills across the curriculum to solve a problem about ‘Heron Tower’ in London. We used our knowledge of algebra and the nth term to calculate how many metal beams would be needed if Heron Tower were a different size. We also considered the area and perimeter of each floor of the tower and discussed how we might it out to ensure that we could fit as many desks in as possible! Ask your child what they have found it!
