Year 6 Visit to Safetyworks

15th September 2017

As part of their PSHE Curriculum, Year 6 were given the fantastic opportunity to visit Safetyworks's workshop in Newcastle. As Year 6 are getting ready to move to secondary school next September, Safetyworks provides the perfect opportunity for our children to learn all about how they can keep themselves safe and look after each other in the community. We learned all about fire safety, particularly the damage that anti-social arson can cause. As well as this, we spent time with staff from St John's Ambulance, Nexus, Newcastle City Council Road Safety and Northumbria Police. Ask your child what they have learned on their trip; they're safety experts!
