Science - Life cycle of chickens.

As part of our science topic ‘Living things and their habitats’, we’ve visited reception’s classroom to have a look at their living eggs display! We spent our morning researching the life cycle of Emperor Penguins and then compared and contrasted that to the life cycle of a chicken! We noticed how the new-born chicks are being kept in a specific incubator which is keeping them warm and healthy. We assumed that this must be because there is not an adult or a chicken to keep it warm like there would have been in the wild. Thank you, reception for letting us use your fab learning resources; we’re so looking forward to have a cuddle once they’re a little bit stronger!
