Reading Challenge (12 Days of Christmas)

27th January 2017

We are thrilled to announce that 76 children completed our 'Twelve Days of Christmas' reading challenge over the Christmas holidays! All 76 children read at least 12 times during their time off school; it has been marvellous to hear about all the wonderful stories they have shared with you at home. Thank you for your support with this - a huge well done to everyone who took part. Reading at home has a significant impact on children's progress and it is a wonderful way to spend time together. Each child who took part received a certificate and a bookmark to celebrate their achievement. Their names were also put in a hat to win a very special reading prize: each class winner spent time with Mrs Giblin looking on a  reading website and ordering a brand new book of their own! Look out for our February half term reading challenge! Happy reading!

The book winners are as follows:

Year 1:  Leighton & Charlie

Year 2:  Megan

Year 3:  Matthew & Elliesue

Year 4:  Grace & Jackson
