New Internet Safety Resources

29th January 2016
  • Attached below is a practical guide for parents/carers to child safety online, particularly when using social media.  The guide is simple to read, provides excellent advice and signposts you to other organisations who can offer you advice or support.
  • Thinkuknow.co.uk is a fun website which helps children and their adults learn about internet safety through interactive activities.  The information is divided into age appropriate sections (5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14+) which you can go through with your child.  These activities provide an excellent opportunity for you to have conversations about internet safety and to find out what your child understand about the subject.  There is a section especially for parents/carers which answers questions, offers advice and provides contact details if you need to make a report.

Because this is such an important safeguarding subject, we regularly address internet safety in our ICT curriculum throughout the school.  If you are sharing the same information at home, it means that we are  working together to keep our children safe online.
